Dolmen Recruitment is partnering with a leading global reinsurance organisation to appoint a Treasury Capital Manager / Credit Rating Agency Lead to its Dublin-based Treasury team.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected international financial services organisation in a strategically important role, reporting directly to the Group Treasurer. The successful candidate will become the organisation's subject-matter expert and primary relationship manager with the major credit rating agencies, playing a key role in protecting and enhancing the group's financial strength ratings.
The Opportunity
You will lead the management of the company's relationships with Moody's, S&P, and AM Best, coordinating all aspects of rating-agency engagement, capital analysis, modelling, and strategic planning. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Investments and Executive Leadership to ensure the organisation maintains its strong financial profile and capital position.
This role offers exceptional exposure to senior leadership and provides the opportunity to directly influence strategic decision-making within a major international reinsurance business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary relationship manager for Moody's, S&P and AM Best
- Lead the preparation and delivery of all rating agency submissions, reviews and presentations
- Monitor and analyse rating methodologies and assess their impact on the organisation's capital position
- Perform rating agency capital modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis
- Lead quarterly Solvency II Market Risk capital calculations and related regulatory capital analysis
- Develop strategic recommendations to optimise capital efficiency and return on capital
- Support the integration of rating agency capital requirements into broader financial planning processes
- Partner with stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Investments, Risk, Underwriting and Executive Management globally
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and capital modelling enhancements
About You
You will likely have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Treasury
- Capital management
- Credit analysis
- Financial risk
- Regulatory capital
- Insurance or reinsurance finance
You will ideally possess:
- Experience working directly with at least two of Moody's, S&P and AM Best
- Strong understanding of rating agency capital methodologies
- Experience with regulatory capital frameworks, particularly Solvency II
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Experience within insurance, reinsurance, banking or broader financial services
- A professional qualification such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, Actuarial or equivalent
