Fund Oversight Assistant Manager | International Super ManCo | Dublin | Hybrid - Dublin

Dublin | Irish Super ManCo | UCITS / AIFMD Focus

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Irish operation of a highly regarded international investment management group in a broad Fund Operations Assistant Manager position.

This is not a traditional large-team operations role. You will join a small, experienced and highly collaborative Irish team, working closely with senior management and the firm's Designated Persons across the day-to-day operation and oversight of its UCITS and AIF structures.

The role has been deliberately designed to provide broad exposure across the ManCo rather than confining someone to one narrow operational area. It would particularly suit an experienced fund operations professional who enjoys taking ownership, working autonomously and being close to the detail within a lean, senior-led environment.

Importantly, there is also a genuine development opportunity. The successful candidate will initially support a number of the firm's Designated Person functions, with a particular focus on distribution oversight. As their knowledge of the business develops, there is scope to take on increasing responsibility in this area and, for the right individual, potentially progress towards a Designated Person for Distribution position over time.

    The Role

Working closely with the senior Irish team, your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the day-to-day operational framework of the ManCo.
    • Working across and supporting the firm's Designated Person functions.
    • Taking a particular focus on distribution oversight and associated operational activities.
    • Executing and maintaining key operational controls, processes, trackers and evidence.
    • Supporting cash monitoring, settlement checks and reconciliations.
    • Identifying operational issues, breaks and exceptions and ensuring they are appropriately documented, escalated and resolved.
    • Preparing information and evidence for delegate and service-provider oversight.
    • Working with external service providers including fund administrators, custodians and transfer agents.
    • Supporting operational governance meetings and committees.
    • Assisting with audits, regulatory reviews and inspection preparation.
    • Supporting fund launches, wind-downs and changes to the operating model.
    • Contributing to the continued improvement and automation of operational processes and documentation.

    The Person

We are looking for someone with broad experience across fund operations, ManCo operations, asset management or fund accounting, who is comfortable operating within a regulated financial services environment.

    Ideally, you will bring:

    • Approximately 10+ years' relevant financial services experience.
    • Strong knowledge of fund operations and the wider fund lifecycle.
    • Experience within, or working closely with, an Irish ManCo / investment management environment.
    • Exposure to UCITS and/or AIFMD.
    • Experience dealing with fund administrators, custodians, transfer agents or other key delegates.
    • Familiarity with NAV processes and operational controls.
    • Strong Excel and data-handling skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to take ownership of issues through to completion.
    • Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Experience of distribution oversight, including oversight of regulated distribution activity, review of marketing materials or familiarity with relevant Central Bank of Ireland requirements, would be particularly advantageous, although it is not essential.

    Why Consider It?

The opportunity is particularly attractive for someone who has gained strong experience within a larger fund services, ManCo or asset management environment but would now like broader responsibility and greater visibility across the business.

The Irish operation has a deliberately flat structure, meaning you will work directly with senior decision-makers rather than sitting several layers removed from the business. You will have exposure across operations, governance, oversight and regulatory activity and the opportunity to develop into areas beyond your immediate remit.

The firm also has a strong track record of developing and promoting people internally. While no future PCF appointment can ever be guaranteed, there is a credible longer-term development path towards assuming greater ownership of the Distribution function for someone who demonstrates the appropriate capability, judgement and ambition.
